Curly Puff

This should have been posted on Saturday, but… I dunno. Read on.

I’m in Floridaaaaa! (Just for the weekend though).

I didn’t want to straighten my hair for the humidity and possibly the pool, so I left it curly. I did a curly puff on Friday morning and used Taliah Waajid’s Curly Curl Cream. I didn’t really love the results. My hair shrunk more and more as it dried and it began to feel hard.

Today I did a curly puff again. This time I used Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk on wet hair. It wasn’t curling as I expected so I added some Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and my curls popped. I had much less shrinkage and my hair doesn’t feel dry.

I used my usual Fantasia Gel in the front. When I return to NY, I’ll be straightening my hair again. You know I’m nervous about getting ssk’s and straightening it is the only way for me to keep an eye in my ends.

CurlBox

Is anyone a part of CurlBox? If so, how do you like it?

I just joined, but I’m on the waiting list. The site describes CurlBox as “an affordable, effortless and easier way to explore new hair products. Every month subscribers receive 5-7 quality hair product samples for $20 per month.”

This idea is genius! I almost wish I thought of it first. I feel like it’s great especially for new naturals as well as product junkies. I guess people who have found their holy grail products probably wouldn’t care too much about it, but I figured it’s worth a try. What do you think?

XOXO,
