I went to Florida this past weekend for my little cousins “Sweet 16” birthday party.

Of course I struggled deciding how to style my hair for the party before I even got to Florida! I was going to straighten it because I haven’t straightened it in so long. Truth is, I’m dying to straighten it to trim my ends and see my growth. Good thing my sis talked me out of that though. The humidity and spurts of rain would have killed my straight style.

I decided on my go-to textured bun, but with a textured side swoop. I walked around with a twisted swoop the first day.

I finally untwisted it to style my hair for the party and I absolutely love how it came out!

Sooooo… truth be told, I haven’t done anything with my hair all summer. I wash it and put it right back in a bun.

I haven’t even been blow drying my hair all summer. I blow dried it once and worked out the next day and that was the end of that. Lesson learned.

I imagine my hair grew, but I won’t know until I straighten it. At that point I’ll probably do a length check. It’s been a while. That will have to wait until the weather is cooler and less humid.

Single strand knots are running rampant through my hair, but it’s actually not as bad as its been before. I’ll have to get a good trim at the end of the summer.

I also imagine I have breakage in the front from the ponytail holder, but that hasn’t been confirmed.

As you can tell, I’m still in a hair slump. I haven’t bought any new products lately, partly because I want to finish some of the stuff I already have. Also, I kinda like the products I’ve been using (see the Current Regimen section for details) I still have Hair Rules on my mind though.
