October CurlBox

I received my October CurlBox yesterday and I am excited about this one! One thing I didn’t love about the first one was that it contained mostly styling products and no moisturizing or conditioning products. The October CurlBox was quite different. One of the full sized products is Curl Care’s Moisturizing Conditioner. I’ve never tried this brand before, so it’ll be something new. It’s by Dr. Miracle.

One of the other full size products is African Pride’s Bouncy Curls Pudding. At first I didn’t realize it was a curl pudding because it looks so whipped and moisturizing. I wonder what kind of curl definition it will have.

The third full sized product is a box of henna. I can guarantee I won’t be trying that. Next!

I’ll be vacationing in Costa Rica for the next week. I’m planning to test out the African Pride curly pudding as well as other products I have stashed away. I suspect I’ll be trying wash and go’s.

Oat & Honey Face Mask

I am always looking for ways to improve my skin. I notice that when I pamper my skin, it looks healthy. When I don’t, I start to get bumps and marks.

I decided to pamper my skin more and the first step was making my own Oat & Honey face mask.

I chopped oats in my Magic Bullet until it was powdery. I then mixed the oats, honey and milk to create a paste to apply to my face. I applied it and left it on for about 15-20 minutes. Of course I was multi-tasking and lost track of time.

Once the time elapsed, I wet my face with the mask on it and massaged it a little, then rinsed it off completely.

My face looks and feels great. My only concern was if the mixture would clog my sink since it was a bit clumpy in the end.

I’ll try it again tomorrow or later in the week since there’s plenty left over. A little goes a long way.
