Monday Bun

I really like twisting my hair before bunning it. I feel like it seals in the moisture. Despite moisturizing my hair every day and sometimes twice a day, I feel like my ends are still a lot drier than they should be. I’ve been using extra virgin olive oil, As I Am – Moisture Milk as well as As I Am – Double Butter Cream. Maybe it’s time to try something else.

Putting my hair in a bun is so simple and easy. I realize now why I had a bun allllllll the time when I was younger. Lately I’ve also been bunning without putting gel in the front. You KNOW that’s not like me! It’s going pretty well though.

Here’s my bun for the Hairscapades Bun Challenge.

…and yes, those are a few strands of gray hair in the front. *gasp*

Bun With a Twist

I remember when I first cut my hair and my hair wasn’t long enough to make a bun. Now look at me. My bun isn’t even stuffed anymore! That’s progress.

To make this bun, I put my hair in a ponytail. I then left out three small sections of hair and made a regular bun with the rest of my hair. I made the three small sections into three 3-strand twists and wrapped them around my bun. If my hair was longer, I would have only used one section.

I won’t be posting buns everyday… only the interesting or new buns. You know I’m good for doing a style and keeping the same style for the entire week!

XOXO,
Rece
