Vacation Hair

I’ll be going on a cruise at the end of the month to celebrate my birthday. I was thinking of vacation hairstyles. I usually just do a wash and go ponytail while I’m on vacation. It’s the easiest thing to do and maintain and it looks decent.

Since its my birthday, I wanted something a bit different instead of just a ponytail on my birthday.

Getting a weave crossed my mind and I’ve been toying with the idea. I have so many pros and cons regarding this weave situation. I’ve never had one before and I have no clue what to expect.

What do you think? Have you ever had a weave? What vacation styles do you suggest?

Back to the Old School

I’m finally back to my twist out. My hair has grown a lot. What I don’t understand is why this one twist in the front on the left side continues to do its own thing. Natural hair really has a mind of it’s own. I’ve never experienced a twist rebelling! LOL.

I mean… really… what’s that about?

I’ve been rocking my twist out since about Saturday. I thought maybe I would be able to make it through the week, but my scalp decided otherwise. Everything was going well until I came home this evening and exercised. My scalp was itching sooooo bad, I was about to rip my scalp out, so I ended up doing an impromptu wash. I was going to retwist it tonight anyway, so I figured washing it wouldn’t add that much more time.

I used my usual DevaCurl Shampoo to wash. This weekend I went to Sally’s and bought the generic to Matrix Biolage’s Conditioning Balm. I’ve been wanting to try this conditioner for a while, but refused to pay full price for it. I must say that it worked well, but lately all of the conditioners I’ve tried work well in my hair. Maybe my hair is just in a better condition than it was in the past.

That’s it for now. I expect to do an official length check to end the Hairscapades GOChallenge, but I just haven’t felt like going through all of that. We’ll see. =)

XOXO,
