Has anyone ever tried washing their face with honey? …or made a face mask with honey?
I was reading up on it and a lot of people have tried it due to the fact that honey naturally has antibacterial properties. In addition it is a good moisturizer.
I thought of trying it. Not daily, but perhaps twice a week when I would normally use my face mask. I’m a little hesitant for two reasons. The first reason is that my face is actually doing pretty well for once, so I wouldn’t want to throw things off with something new. The second reason is that although there are a lot of great reviews about using honey as a face wash, some people complained that it dried out their skin. I do believe those people were using it daily or possibly multiple times a day though.
If you’ve tried it before, let me know how it was.

Honey does indeed have antibacterial properties. I would not use it more than once a week. it also helps slough off dead skin so you could use it as a facial treatment
Thanks for the info. I did try it last night and it was cool. I guess I can’t tell how good/bad something is by just one use. Have u ever tried it?
Oh yeah, I used to love to make a honey, milk and oatmeal mask when my skin was feeling really scaly. But, never did it often. I also have made a raw honey and brown sugar scrub to use once a week to exfoliate.
Honey, milk and oatmeal sounds good. Maybe I’ll try that too. I think the brown sugar would shred my poor sensitive skin.
Yeah, I used it as a facial. I kept licking my lips to taste the honey. Lol. I was thinking once or twice a week.
I’ve done pure Manuka Honey before. It’s very soothing and does calm acne.
Manuka honey? *runs to google*
Yup! I did it,using regular honey, all of last summer. It was wonderful for my dry skin. Try it!
I will def revisit it. Maybe I alternate with it and African black soap. Hmmmm…
