Vatika Oil

I got my Vatika Oil from The Curvealicious Chronicles Giveaway! As soon as I got it, I put some in my hair. I love the way it smells. It smells to me like it has ginger in it, so much so that I looked at the ingredients to see if it did. That’s when I discovered that it has henna, brahmi and amla oil and other interesting ingredients.

It worked so well on my dry hair that I put a little in my KimmayTube Leave in, which I just started using again.

Yesterday I tried it on my wet hair and it kinda gave me that coconut oil feeling, which is hard hair. I just twisted my hair up and today it feels so moisturized. I did apply other products though, like Kinky Curly Knot Today, Curls Creme Brulee and a little Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz.

I was beginning to feel like my hair was getting dry from being in the ponytail and I was manipulating it more, so back to twisting all the time. Thank God I haven’t seen any breakage and I’m still seeing growth.

It’s extra curly and looks extra short, but it’s extra moisturized!

An Old Style Revisited

So remember the Two Flat Twists & A Bun that I tried before? I got the style idea from Mrs. The Bronx over at Heavenly Hues & Hair Do’s <~~ That's her version of the style. I absolutely LOVE the style on her, but I didn't really love it so much on myself. It might have something to do with her gorgeous hair color too.

In any case, I decided to revisit the style for three main reasons:

1. I wouldn't have to put gel in the front of my hair

2. The shorter pieces in the front wouldn't get strangled daily by the ponytail holder

3. I discovered that my hair can go into a bun, so my ends would be protected.

Sounds like I'm winning all around!

…and here it is! Look, I even put a flower in it! So what if it's black and camouflages. Lol.
