Vatika Oil

I got my Vatika Oil from The Curvealicious Chronicles Giveaway! As soon as I got it, I put some in my hair. I love the way it smells. It smells to me like it has ginger in it, so much so that I looked at the ingredients to see if it did. That’s when I discovered that it has henna, brahmi and amla oil and other interesting ingredients.

It worked so well on my dry hair that I put a little in my KimmayTube Leave in, which I just started using again.

Yesterday I tried it on my wet hair and it kinda gave me that coconut oil feeling, which is hard hair. I just twisted my hair up and today it feels so moisturized. I did apply other products though, like Kinky Curly Knot Today, Curls Creme Brulee and a little Kinky Curly Spiral Spritz.

I was beginning to feel like my hair was getting dry from being in the ponytail and I was manipulating it more, so back to twisting all the time. Thank God I haven’t seen any breakage and I’m still seeing growth.

It’s extra curly and looks extra short, but it’s extra moisturized!

    • Hummm… let’s see… well, it says that it’s enriched coconut oil.
It was too many oils and herbs to list, but henna, brahmi, amla and lemon to name a few. The others I’m not really familiar with.

  1. Juicy, juicy, juicy! LOL!! You know, when you do the twist out, you could get a really cute updo with some strategic pinning. Since you get such nice, defined, chunky sections, you could probably create a really nice “basket weave style” by overlapping the sections in the front towards the back (secure the back up first and then you cover the ends with the front sections going back. You’d have to play around, but it would give you hair a rest from the ponytail, but give you a different updo look.

    • I didn’t know you won too! Nice! I stole your idea and pre-poo’s last night with the Vatika coconut oil. It’s still in now, so we’ll see how it goes. I’ll blog about it.
