Despite all of my wonderful hair growth, there is one section of my hair that grows so much slower than everywhere else. It’s also the section that had straight ends after I did my big chop. I kept trimming a little more off of that side because I thought that maybe I didn’t successfully cut off all of the relaxed hair, only to realize that those ends just like to be straight.
4 months post big chop and those ends are still straight. That section is significantly shorter than the rest. I do sleep on that side, but the part that is just above my ear and the back is growing nicely. It’s right above that that’s takin its sweet time.
It was more apparent when I straightened the front of my hair to test out the half wig.
What’s a girl to do? Trim the rest to sort of even it out or just let it be what it is? Decisions. Decisions.
XOXO,

Just let it be! You can’t tell when it’s curly or in a bun, so I think you should just wait it out as it’s not damaged … it’s just the hair that doesn’t want to curl. I have the same thing on almost the entire right side of my head! LOL!!
Oh wow! That’s true, you can’t tell too much. Well… I can, but I guess it’s not as noticeable to everyone else. Although, I feel like it’s becoming more noticeable as it continues to grow.
I have that same problem at my crown. I can’t stand it and just end up putting more product to lay it down.
I see, I see. It’s like my crown area, but only on the left side. Really weird.
I say let it be too. I cut off my left side by 1 1/2 inches because it was longer than the right. 2 months later and it’s the same. The right is my side I sleep on and it grows slower too. Eventually they even out
Oh yes! I remember when you were debating if to cut or not. Ok, I won’t cut. I’ll wait.
